Write to me

A site is designedbefore the code.

I design and build sites for small businesses and agencies, often in WordPress, other times in PHP or with no CMS: structure, content, interface and code, in the order they get decided. Blocks and features come from how you work, with no options nobody uses.

How a site comes about when I design it

yourcompany.comMENUWHO YOU ARE, IN ONE SENTENCEwhat you do, for whomCONTACTIMAGESERVICESserviceserviceservicecontent first, then formYOUR COMPANYupdated from the panel, the layout stayspage-services.php1<?php get_header(); ?>2<section class="hero">3<h1><?php the_field('title'); ?></h1>4</section>56<?php foreach ($services as $service) : ?>7<?php get_template_part('card'); ?>8<?php endforeach; ?>910<?php get_footer(); ?>the client writes the title, the code stays untouched

A site goes wrong when it starts from the theme instead of the content.

You pick a theme, fill the blocks, add pages until something seems to work. The result is hard to update and harder to read.

I write the code last, once the content is settled.

What I deliver

A site written for this project, built for whoever will update it.

  1. Design

Page structure, wireframes and interface for you to approve. I also use AI for prototypes.

  2. The site

In WordPress, blocks and fields shaped around your content; in PHP or with no CMS, a light and fast site. Either way, a product sheet, an event, a case study each get their own form.

  3. Going live

Hosting set up on cPanel or Plesk, or directly on the server via SSH with automatic publishing. WooCommerce when the site sells.

How I work

Four steps. The site goes live only after you've approved it.

  1. Idea

I gather goals, audience and content, and decide the page structure.

  2. Direction

I draw wireframes and interface, and you approve them before the code.

  3. Production

I build the site, in WordPress, in PHP or with no CMS, with blocks and fields made for your content.

  4. Finishing

I check on desktop and mobile, go live and hand over the access.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Can't I just have Claude write the site?

You can, and for a simple page it's often enough. The hard part starts after going live: content changes, plugins update, speed and security need watching. I use AI too, for prototypes and code, but what I deliver I've read and tested, so when something breaks I know where to look.

  2. Can you build a site my agency has already designed?

Yes. I build it myself, in WordPress or with no CMS depending on the project, without handing it to another developer, with blocks and fields your client updates from the panel without touching the layout. The site goes out under your agency's name and, if needed, I sign an NDA before seeing the project.

  3. How much does a WordPress site cost?

It depends on what the site has to do, whether a landing page or a multi-page site: how many pages and journeys, animations and interactions, blocks designed around your content, features like bookings or online sales. The quote lists the items separately, so you see what weighs and what you can postpone to a second phase.

  4. Can you rebuild an existing WordPress site?

Yes. First I work out what in the current site is worth keeping, content included; the rest I rebuild lighter and easier to update. The pages that bring visits today stay reachable.

  5. Do you use Elementor?

If the project or whoever will manage it requires it, yes. Otherwise I build with Gutenberg, with ACF or with custom blocks, which age better and load less code.

  6. Where do you work?

I work from Liguria, remotely, with agencies and companies across Italy, mostly in Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy. Meetings and reviews happen on calls or by email.

  7. What's left out?

You bring the copy and photos. If they're missing, I use AI-generated text and images, declared as such, until the real ones arrive: as soon as you have them, we swap them in.

Tell me what you need.I'll tell you how I'd do it and what I wouldn't do.

A few lines are enough: what, by when, for whom.

In my reply you'll find where I'd start and how long it takes.
